Biden Bums on Beach as Maui Burns

"No comment"

Maui erupted in flames this past week. The wildfires have killed over 100, with that number expected to rise as the search continues. Meanwhile, President Biden has "No comment." KJP urges Maui residents to register for help online, which would prove quite impossible without power. And Maui officials refuse to take responsibility. When will our public servants start looking out for the public they're supposed to be serving?

Biden Announces Trip To Maui After Wave Of Criticism As historic wildfires ripped through Maui, leaving hundreds dead (for now) and a trail of devastation, Joe Biden lounged at the beach in Delaware, soaking up the sun and taking the occasional bike ride. When one reporter asked Biden whether he had any comment on the disaster Sunday, the president bluntly replied, "No comment," setting off a torrent of criticism from both sides of the political aisle for his apparent callousness. To make matters worse, the president went on to avoid the press Monday and Tuesday, before joking about having to speak about Hawaii at the top of a speech on “Bidenomics.” Biden finally got around to damage control Wednesday, announcing that he and the first lady will visit with those impacted in Maui on Aug. 21.
