Five unanswered questions about massive Russian hacker database
There's still much that's unclear about Tuesday's revelation that a small group
of hackers in Russia have amassed a database of 1.2 billion stolen user IDs and
passwords. The company that disclosed the incident, Hold Security, didn't offer
any fresh information Wednesday, but here are five questions we'd like to see
answered (and a bonus one that we already know the answer to).

Cisco: Blackhole arrest cuts exploit-kit traffic, but don't let your guard down
Exploit kits of cybercrime tools fell into a big slump in the first half of this
year after Russian authorities nabbed the alleged creator of the popular
Blackhole kit, but users aren't necessarily safer.

As Facebook privacy suit reaches 25,000 participant target, court is unsure if it will allow it
An Austrian 'class action' lawsuit against Facebook over the company's privacy
policies is expected to reach a limit of 25,000 participants on Wednesday. It
remains however uncertain if the commercial court in Vienna will accept the
case.

Network-attached storage devices more vulnerable than routers, researcher finds
A security review of network-attached storage (NAS) devices from multiple
manufacturers revealed that they typically have more vulnerabilities than home
routers, a class of devices known for poor security and vulnerable code.

Jonny Evans: Chinese government bans Apple, really?
