This week's iPad Mini launch only goes to show the glamour of the technology industry. There was hype, headlines and a flurry of consumers…. Many of whom were women. Women in Technology Research
According to a survey conducted by Mortimer Spinks, only 1 in 7 people in IT are female. The same study found that women are concerned about pursuing IT careers because of a fear of being the sole woman in a department dominated by men. This white paper presents the findings, offering a picture of what state the UK technology industry is in when it comes to gender balance. Click through to read the full analysis.

Attracting Women to ICT
The lack of women in IT is a global issue. This problem only intensifies as the technology sector becomes more important to the economy and the demand for skilled workers increases. How can any industry be competitive if half the population aren't even interested? This white paper presents the European Parliament's plans to attract more women into ICT-related courses and consequently to a career in ICT. Discover European initiatives here.
