Robert L. Mitchell: Gartner Symposium roundup: 10 predictions
If this week's Gartner Symposium is any indicator, IT is on a roll. Attendance is up this year, with more than 8,400 attendees, according to research firm Gartner Inc., which hosts the event. The conference itself has been gradually morphing into more of a CIO event, with two time slots dedicated to CIO topics today. Much of the content is slanted toward CIOs, with less of a focus on more technical content than there was just a few years ago. Read More

Zynga lays off workers, closes Boston studio
Zynga is cutting about 5 percent of its workforce, and is "sunsetting" 13 of its older games, the company's founder and CEO Mark Pincus said Tuesday in a note to employees. Read More
