What's the best camera? According to conventional wisdom, it's whatever camera you happen to have with you at the time. These days, that's usually your phone. Sure, your point-and-shoot camera (or maybe even that high-end DSLR stashed in your bureau drawer) might take better shots. But when a magnificent kite appears overhead or you stumble across some crazy street scene with mimes and a pack of Chihuahuas, you'll be glad you've got your trusty camera phone close at hand. But which phone takes the best pictures and videos? To answer that question, our doyenne of smartphones, Ginny Mies, tested a passel of phone cameras (See "Android Camera Shootout: 13 Phones Put to the Test"). For shooting video, the Motorola Photon 4G was top dog; while the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide was the winner for still images. Want to see how the other contenders graded out? Check out Ginny's full story, and stay tuned for more results: We'll be updating our tests as more new phones flow into PCWorld's offices.
