Ombraz 2023 Fall Update

Hey Beautiful human!

Our fully remote Ombraz team has been cranking away, and we've got some fantastic news that might strike a cord (that's an armless sunglasses pun) with you.

NEW FRAME COLOR

On October 23rd, we're releasing 1,000 limited edition Classics. Our best-selling frame in an all-new translucent ice-white, equipped with polarized silver mirror optics. We're calling them The Frosts. Possibly the most tantalizing pair of Ombraz yet, The Frosts will be available in 7 days on Ombraz.com.

THIRD PARTY CARBON AUDIT

We sequester 1,713x more carbon than is emitted to produce & deliver each pair. This summer, we partnered with a third-party carbon-audit firm, called Greenticket, to verify our carbon-negative claims. Greenticket interviewed our manufacturers and mestickulously (that's a tree pun) calculated the carbon emissions - from raw production to delivery. Through our tree planting efforts, Greenticket found that a pair of Ombraz is 400x more carbon-negative than we initially calculated. We'll be sharing the full report soon - but we just couldn't contain (that's a carbon storage pun) the news any longer.

BUILT WITH PURPOSE CAMPAIGN

On November 9th, we'll be hosting our second annual 'Built with Purpose One-Day Sale'. We hand-picked 26 brands that we (founders) deeply respect and enjoy building alongside. Using the code 'BUILTWITHPURPOSE', you can access discounts on every participating brand's site for 24 hours. Keep your eyes peeled for a 'Built with Purpose' email on November 9th & expect a deep discount better than our Black Friday/Cyber Monday offering. We've got brands like XtraTuf, Topo Design and Mammut involved. We brought all the brands together for this and we're super proud of it. :)

BLACK FRIDAY / CYBER MONDAY

Our Black Friday discount will kick off a bit earlier this year - from November 13th through November 27th. This is the only time we really discount all year - so if you've been eyeing Ombraz for yourself or someone you love, November is the time. We'll also be planting 40 mangrove trees for every pair we sell during this discount period - making them 3,426x cabron negative. Woah.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

We're currently onboarding Tiffany as our new customer service manager. Gunnar, our customer service Guru for the past three years, has moved on (to pursue a career as a therapist - although he probably needs therapy himself after solely owning our customer service the past three years.) Tiffany is based in Bend, OR and is an absolute bundle of joy to work with. She'll be helping everyone out on the customer facing side of things going forward.
