The Cyberthreat Defense Report (CDR) provides an annual look at how cybersecurity professionals perceive threats and plan to defend against them. Based on a survey of 1,200 security leaders, it enables cybersecurity professionals to benchmark their company's security posture, operating budget, product investments, and best practices against peers in their industry and geographic region. Key insights from the 2020 report include: Successful cyberattacks are at record levels. Four out of five organizations experienced at least one successful cyberattack and more than one-third suffered six or more. One app security platform is best. A decisive 80.1% of respondents agreed that monitoring the entire app security stack with one platform is a best practice. We want AI. A whopping 85% of respondents expressed a preference for security products that feature machine learning and AI. These app and data security tools are key. API gateways, database firewalls, and WAFs top the list of installed app/data security products. |
