| | Recent headlines show a new generation of threats going viral on a global scale and proliferating more quickly than ever. Over the last 24 hours, a new global ransomware attack has developed that we identified as Nyetya. We are committed to providing timely relevant information, so you can focus on continuing to protect your organization.
Nyetya is nasty because it spreads automatically, even using one of the same vulnerabilities that WannaCry used to spread.
Cisco Talos is actively investigating the attack and updates are published in their blog.
Cisco customers are protected against this ransomware attack. Cisco AMP and Network Security appliances (NGFW, NGIPS, and Meraki MX) keep customers safe with protections created by Cisco Talos, our world-class threat intelligence team.
