Now that seemingly everyone is proclaiming the PC "dead" and ushering in the "era of tablets," it's a good time to take a look at what the short-term future of slates will bring us. For instance, today's tablets don't fold up, keep tabs on your health, download location-based apps automatically, or draw their power from the sun. But they may do all those things soon.
