As you may already know, many IAPP certifications are accredited by ANSI to ISO standard 17024:2012. Now that accreditation is automatically recognized from Albania to Zimbabwe and more than 80 other jurisdictions in between thanks to recognition by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). This is good news, whether you’re already certified or thinking of getting certified, the IAPP certification accreditation is instant proof that you meet the highest standards of knowledge and competence. You won’t have to earn new certifications to prove you meet local standards. Here’s an article from the IAPP Privacy Advisor—https://iapp.org/news/a/ansis-gold-standard-goes-global/—that details the IAF recognition. And as always, if you have any questions, please write me at dsoule@iapp.org.
